We went to King’s Point
\nAnd Twillingate too
\nAnd wherever we went
\nThere was plenty to do<\/p>\n
There were cliffs so high
\nThey scraped the clouds
\nAnd when fog came in
\nThe horns were loud<\/p>\n
There were ancient sea creatures
\nEmbedded in rock
\nIt was like a time machine
\nTurning back the clock<\/p>\n
We explored the sod houses
\nWhere the Vikings once slept
\nAnd memories of these places
\nWill always be kept<\/p>\n
We played by the seashore
\nAnd explored the bays
\nOh there were so many
\nFantastic days<\/p>\n
We saw clouds of capelin
\nRolling in like the tide
\nAnd we met friendly people
\nWho took the fish to be dried<\/p>\n
We saw adorable puffins
\nThat were orange, black and white
\nAnd we did the puffin dance
\nLate into the night<\/p>\n
There was a whale breaching
\nAnd flapping its fin
\nMaybe it was hunting
\nJuicy fish with its kin<\/p>\n
There were towers of ice
\nReaching for the sky
\nAnd little bergy bits
\nDrifted nearby<\/p>\n
We will miss Newfoundland’s magic
\nIts wonders by the sea
\nBut the seasons keep moving
\nAnd so must we<\/p>\n
