Every time we stepped outside, swarms of biting black flies would descend, leaving us with big itchy, bloody welts. Shortly after leaving Lab City, and the end of the TransLabrador Highway &#8230;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1579\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1579\" style=\"width: 604px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chopchopbillygoat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/DSCN67061.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1579 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chopchopbillygoat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/DSCN67061-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"we survived!\" width=\"604\" height=\"453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chopchopbillygoat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/DSCN67061.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.chopchopbillygoat.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/DSCN67061-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1579\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">we survived!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>we said &#8220;Bonjour&#8221; to Quebec and Route 389 &#8230; and &#8220;Au Revoir&#8221; to pavement.
